Top 10 Power Wheelchair Manufacturers in China

For procurement teams researching electric wheelchairs in China, ten current companies worth investigating are XSTO, Shanghai Hubang, Sweetrich Mobility, JBH Medical, Foshan Dongfang, INTCO Medical, JUMAO, YATTLL, Bangbang Robotics/Robooter, and Guangzhou Topmedi. This is an editorial shortlist in reference order—not a market-share table, clinical-quality ranking, or claim that any supplier is objectively "best."

The useful question is which candidates can document the legal manufacturer, production site, exact model, quality controls, target-market status, testing, service and commercial terms. Public pages can build a longlist; they cannot replace a sample, factory audit, regulatory review or signed specification.

Disclosure: INTCO Medical publishes this article and appears at number six. INTCO receives no score, award, "our pick" badge, first position, extra comparison field, or model-level compliance presumption. All ten companies are assessed from current official pages using the same evidence and limitation rules.

UNVERIFIED means the reviewed official evidence did not show a current, configuration-complete B2B quote. A usable quotation must identify the seller, exact SKU and options, battery, accessories, quantity, Incoterm, destination, lead time, warranty and validity. Marketplace and retail prices are not substitutes.

Quality and market-access language needs the same discipline. A company-level ISO certificate, a historical CE statement, an FDA badge, or a testing-partner logo does not establish that every current power-chair model is registered, cleared, certified or accepted in every destination. INTCO's wheelchair standards and certifications guide explains the evidence categories buyers should separate before assigning model-level meaning.

How we built this editorial shortlist

Each company needed a live official company or product page that established a Chinese company or production context and a current powered-wheelchair line or closely equivalent branded powered-mobility product. Retailers, directory profiles and companies whose current official evidence did not explicitly establish electric-wheelchair activity were excluded. All ten selected evidence pages returned HTTP 200 when checked on August 27, 2026.

The order is editorial reference order. Sales volume, factory size, product safety, regulatory breadth, clinical fit and independent test results are not publicly comparable across all ten. "Annual capacity" may cover all rehabilitation products, all wheelchairs or a line-rate rather than delivered output.

We retained company-stated founding dates, locations, product categories, OEM/ODM wording, facilities, quality systems, R&D, exports and service only when visible on current official pages or supplied first-party materials. Missing or ambiguous fields remain UNVERIFIED. That boundary is more useful to a buyer than filling every table cell with an inference.

1. XSTO: investigate differentiated robotic power-chair platforms

The XSTO M4 official page explicitly identifies the M4 as a self-balancing power wheelchair. XSTO's company page states that it was established in 2014, is headquartered in Zhongshan, Guangdong, and has an R&D and marketing center in Guangzhou. The range also includes M4 Pro and other mobility-robot products.

XSTO warrants investigation for its product architecture rather than catalogue breadth. The M4 page publishes dimensions, capacity, controls, battery and powered seating information—enough to begin a technical screen, not approve a supplier.

Request the legal manufacturer, factory, model market-access evidence, software/change control, applicable cybersecurity responsibilities, test reports and service escalation. The About page's FDA and CE labels did not establish certificate numbers, holder, validity or model scope. OEM/ODM and electric-chair capacity are also UNVERIFIED.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: self-balancing and robotic powered mobility.
  • Public-evidence limitation: factory, OEM/ODM and model-level market-access scope need primary documents.

2. Shanghai Hubang: investigate a broad wheelchair production history

The Shanghai Hubang official website identifies Shanghai Hubang Intelligent Rehabilitation Equipment Co., Ltd., founded in 1990, and maintains a current electric-wheelchair product category. Its timeline describes manual and electric wheelchair development, production bases in several Chinese regions, and a dedicated electric-wheelchair division formed in 2015.

Hubang states more than 80,000 square meters of production area, aggregate annual capacity above 500,000 units and more than 200 offline service stores. Capacity is not electric-wheelchair-only output or availability for a buyer's program.

Historical entries mention ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CE and FDA-related milestones. A procurement file should replace historical website statements with current certificate copies, legal-entity names, scopes, expiry dates and product identifiers. Buyers should also request site-by-site process responsibility, subcontractor control, electric-chair output, OEM/ODM terms and destination-specific registrations.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: broad wheelchair manufacturing and domestic service history.
  • Public-evidence limitation: aggregate capacity and historical certifications do not establish current model scope.

3. Sweetrich Mobility: investigate folding and heavy-duty power-chair lines

The Sweetrich company profile says Suzhou Sweetrich Vehicle Industry Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2011 in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu. It states a 60-acre site and 30,000-square-meter factory. The current catalogue separates portable iFold products from iPower heavy-duty wheelchairs and also covers multiple mobility scooter categories.

That segmentation is relevant when a brief spans portable chairs, heavier configurations and scooters. Sweetrich says it owns relevant intellectual property, conducts runway tests and exports across several regions.

The website displays ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CE, RoHS, REACH and other labels. Buyers should ask for the underlying documents and map each one to the offered legal entity, factory, model and destination. Current annual capacity, formal OEM/ODM scope, test protocols, warranty terms and parts-support SLA were not established on the reviewed page.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: portable/folding and heavy-duty power-chair portfolios with scooters.
  • Public-evidence limitation: badge scope, OEM/ODM terms and annual output remain UNVERIFIED.

4. JBH Medical: investigate portable power chairs and stated ODM capability

The JBH Medical company profile states that JBH Group was founded in March 2013. It lists a factory at No. 116 Qicang Road in Mingguang, Anhui, and a Nanjing office. Current categories cover folding, lightweight, travel, reclining, heavy-duty and carbon-fiber electric wheelchairs as well as scooters and other mobility products.

JBH says it supplies own-designed and ODM products, operates a 160,000-square-meter production base, employs more than 600 people and exports to over 100 countries. These company-wide claims do not isolate electric-wheelchair capacity available to a new program.

The official page names TUV ISO 9001, TUV ISO 13485, ISO 14001, "ISO 18000," EU CE and SGS. The wording and scope require document review, and "ISO 18000" should be clarified rather than copied into an RFQ as an accepted credential. The same page gives conflicting patent totals—more than 50 in one section and 66 in another—so a buyer should request a current controlled company profile.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: portable/carbon-fiber product development and ODM discussions.
  • Public-evidence limitation: patent counts conflict; certificate and capacity scope need reconciliation.

5. Foshan Dongfang: investigate established rehabilitation manufacturing

The Foshan Dongfang company profile identifies Foshan Dongfang Medical Equipment Manufactory (Ltd.), founded in 1990, at Shishan Industrial Park in Nanhai, Foshan, Guangdong. The official power-wheelchair catalogue includes standard electric, outdoor, standing-scooter, foldable, bariatric and motorised wheelchair groupings.

The company states a production base above 60,000 square meters, 300 employees, assembly and robotic-welding facilities, and sales to more than 100 countries/regions. It reports participation in 24 national standards involving wheelchairs, without identifying the exact standards, role, editions or model reports.

The profile says the company passed multiple international system certifications and quality tests without naming current scoped documents on the page reviewed. Before shortlisting, request the legal manufacturer, current certificates, site/process map, electric-chair capacity, control-system and battery suppliers, incoming/final inspection plans, OEM/ODM terms, warranty and spare-parts commitments.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: broad rehabilitation-product manufacturing with a current power-chair range.
  • Public-evidence limitation: current named certification, OEM/ODM and model-test scope are not public.

6. INTCO Medical: investigate a broad B2B wheelchair and OEM/ODM system

INTCO's current power wheelchair category lists E-LITE, STAR, EASY WAY, JUMPER, SMART, SWIFTY, RECLINER, SPLIT and other series. The official company timeline states that INTCO Medical Industries Inc. was established in 1993 and that the Zhenjiang wheelchair manufacturing base opened in 2004. The wheelchair site gives a Zhenjiang, Jiangsu address.

First-party material describes OEM/ODM development, validation, logistics, training and support, and states approximate annual capacity of one million manual and 100,000 electric wheelchairs. These are aggregate capabilities, not reserved capacity, delivery guarantees or model evidence.

The same source pack references ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, CE and third-party testing, plus ramp, noise, fatigue, drop, brake, strength and packaging checks. A buyer still needs the exact certificate holder and scope, factory/model allocation, controlled specification, destination status, test conditions and contractual service terms. The public site claims 150+ countries/regions and five overseas marketing centers; project-specific support must be written into the agreement.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: broad B2B wheelchair supply, OEM/ODM and validation discussions.
  • Public-evidence limitation: company capacity, testing and certifications require model/project documents.

7. JUMAO: investigate integrated rehabilitation production

The JUMAO official company page identifies Jiangsu Jumao X-Care Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., founded in 2002, with a factory in Danyang, Jiangsu. It states that marketing and after-sales headquarters are in Shanghai and that an R&D/after-sales center operates in Ohio, USA. The current rehabilitation catalogue includes electric and manual wheelchairs.

JUMAO reports a 90,000-square-meter site, 140,000 square meters of plant, eight assembly lines and annual capacity of 600,000 pieces. Because it also makes respiratory and patient-room equipment, these figures need an electric-wheelchair breakdown.

The page names ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 management systems. It also states FDA 510(k) for wheelchairs and oxygen concentrators, while ETL and CE wording is tied to oxygen concentrators in one section. Buyers should request exact clearance/product identifiers and avoid transferring respiratory-device evidence to power chairs. Staff figures also conflict—more than 600 in one place and 530 in another.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: integrated production and technical resources across rehabilitation equipment.
  • Public-evidence limitation: aggregate capacity, staff counts and market-access scope need clarification.

8. YATTLL: investigate customization and dealer-oriented supply

The YATTLL company profile says YATTLL Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of YALU Industry and a proprietary medical-product brand. The official range includes smart and carbon-fiber power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, manual chairs, accessories and care beds. The footer gives a factory address at YALU Technology Park in Tangxia.

YATTLL welcomes OEM/ODM, custom development and dealer cooperation. It reports more than 10 engineers/designers, three to five new items annually, sales to over 50 countries/regions, internal checks and after-sales technical assistance.

The page states ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications, but the reviewed evidence did not establish certificate number, legal holder, validity or device scope. Homepage and profile scale figures for R&D and international reach should be reconciled. Any "airline-certified" wording also requires exact battery documents and carrier confirmation; a vendor phrase is not itinerary approval.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: private-label/custom development and dealer supply for portable power chairs.
  • Public-evidence limitation: company scale, certificate scope, test protocols and service terms need documents.

9. Bangbang Robotics / Robooter: investigate intelligent powered mobility

The Bangbang Robotics company introduction identifies Shanghai Bangbang Robotics Co., Ltd. and a 2016 founding timeline. The site links the Robooter global brand and current X30/E30 powered-mobility series. Its history records a 2024 launch of the E80 carbon-fiber electric wheelchair and Q40 compact folding scooter.

Bangbang describes R&D, production, intelligent manufacturing and sales. Its timeline says a new manufacturing base opened in 2023 and four lines operated by 2024, averaging one mobility vehicle every 2.5 minutes. That is a company-stated line-rate, not audited electric-wheelchair capacity.

The company says ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications were obtained in 2019 and reports more than 510 IP items including applications. Buyers need current certificates, model/destination regulatory status, software and firmware change control, functional-safety evidence, battery/charger documentation, repair tools, diagnostic responsibilities and long-term parts support. OEM/ODM scope was not established on the reviewed page.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: intelligent mobility, robotics and differentiated powered-chair programs.
  • Public-evidence limitation: current certification, OEM/ODM and model-level engineering evidence remain UNVERIFIED.

10. Guangzhou Topmedi: investigate broad export-oriented sourcing

The Guangzhou Topmedi company page states that Guangzhou Topmedi Company Limited was established in 2004. Its current categories include lightweight, standing, stair-climbing, reclining and folding electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, manual/sports/children's chairs and power add-ons.

Topmedi describes itself as an OEM/ODM supplier exporting to more than 100 countries. Its official address is in Guangzhou, while its history names a Foshan joint-venture partner factory. Buyers should verify the legal manufacturer and responsibility for design, production, release and post-market work by SKU.

The site displays CE, EU-MDR, ISO, FDA, BV, TUV, UKAS and SGS labels and broadly refers to certifications. No blanket model claim follows from those labels. Ask for current scoped documents, model registrations, factory ownership and audit access, process/subcontractor map, test reports, change notification, capacity allocation, warranty, spares and escalation terms.

  • Official current B2B price: UNVERIFIED
  • Practical investigation fit: broad export sourcing and OEM/ODM discussions across wheelchair types.
  • Public-evidence limitation: supplier-versus-legal-manufacturer role and certificate/model scope require audit.

Run a five-stage supplier qualification process

Treat the list as a funnel: verify the legal entity and factory; screen certificates and model documents; commission the exact sample and relevant tests; audit manufacture and release; then make a conditional award tied to approved evidence, golden sample, change control and service.

Five-stage supplier qualification process for power wheelchair sourcing
Five-stage supplier qualification process for power wheelchair sourcing

A supplier moves forward only when the legal entity, offered model and supporting evidence stay aligned at each gate.

Do not accept a generic "tested to ISO" statement as the endpoint. Ask for the standard part and edition, report issuer, sample identity, configuration, load, battery, controller, software version, pass criteria and deviations. INTCO's verification and testing system illustrates the types of checks a manufacturer may operate; it is supplier context, not proof that every model shares the same tests or results.

Stage 1: longlist and identity check

Confirm the legal company name, registration, contracting seller, brand owner, legal manufacturer, factory address and any critical subcontractors. A brand, exporter and manufacturer may be different organizations. Record who owns the design and who is responsible for market registration, complaint handling and corrective action.

Stage 2: document screen

Build a controlled index: certificate, scope, issuing body, number, issue/expiry date, legal entity, site, model family and destination. Reject "logo-only" evidence. For batteries and chargers, request specifications, supplier controls and transport documents for the exact pack shipped.

Stage 3: sample and model evidence

Lock the sample's model, options, seat, controller, motor, battery, charger, firmware and labeling. Test against the intended contract and market—not against whichever configuration produced the best brochure result. Record range conditions, slope method, braking, stability, obstacle, fatigue, ingress, EMC, transport and packaging evidence only where relevant and scoped.

Stage 4: factory and process audit

Trace one product from incoming material through frame, welding, coating, assembly, programming, inspection, packaging and release. Sample calibration, nonconformance, supplier change, training, traceability, complaint and corrective-action records. Match the processes observed to the factory named in the quotation and certificates.

Stage 5: conditional award and field support

Tie the purchase order to an approved specification, golden sample, inspection plan, change-notification period, spare-parts list, manuals, training, warranty, response targets and escalation contacts. Define what happens if a battery, controller, motor, software version, factory or critical supplier changes.

Put these fields into the RFQ and evidence package

A comparable RFQ asks every candidate the same questions. At minimum, include:

  • Identity: legal seller, legal manufacturer, brand owner, manufacturing site and critical subcontractors.
  • Exact product: model/SKU, intended use, seating and frame configuration, user-mass rating, dimensions, drive layout, controller, motor, brake, battery, charger, tires, accessories, firmware and labels.
  • Commercial offer: quantity breaks, MOQ, sample terms, currency, Incoterm, freight, taxes, tooling/NRE, lead time, capacity allocation, quote validity and payment milestones.
  • Quality system: current certificates with scope, site and legal entity; incoming/in-process/final controls; traceability; nonconformance and change control.
  • Market access: destination-specific registration, clearance, declaration and responsible-party evidence for the exact model. Make the regulatory reviewer identify what is required; do not let the RFQ assume one universal route.
  • Testing: model/configuration-specific reports with method, edition, sample, conditions, laboratory, acceptance criteria and deviations.
  • Battery and transport: chemistry, voltage, amp-hours, watt-hours, removability, UN 38.3 evidence, packaging, terminal protection and carrier documentation where applicable.
  • Service: warranty scope/exclusions, local service path, diagnostic tools, manuals, training, spare-parts availability, response/escalation and field-corrective-action process.
  • Change control: advance notice, revalidation triggers and buyer approval for design, component, supplier, software or production-site changes.

Keep clinical requirements separate but connected. A procurement team can define evidence fields and contract controls; it cannot determine an individual's seating, posture, pressure, cognition, control access, transfer or mobility needs without an appropriate assessment.

Match the supplier to the procurement job—not to a universal rank

XSTO and Bangbang deserve investigation when the brief emphasizes intelligent or robotic powered mobility. Sweetrich, JBH and YATTLL publish portable/folding power-chair portfolios and adjacent scooter categories. Hubang, Foshan Dongfang and JUMAO present broader rehabilitation or wheelchair manufacturing contexts. INTCO and Topmedi publish broad B2B/OEM-oriented ranges, although buyers must still distinguish owned, partner and assigned factories by SKU.

That grouping is a routing aid, not a recommendation. Product availability, regulatory status, factory allocation and service vary by model and destination. A buyer comparing a standard rear-wheel-drive chair, a carbon-fiber travel chair and a self-balancing mobility robot is not comparing substitutes merely because all three are powered and seated.

The product fields shown across current power-wheelchair portfolios can help structure comparison. They do not make any company the default supplier. Issue the same RFQ and evidence request to every candidate that survives screening.

Publication and reviewer hold

Publication hold: this draft must not be treated as final medical-device procurement guidance until three named reviewers sign off: a licensed rehabilitation clinician or qualified wheelchair/seating professional for clinical boundaries; a wheelchair engineer or quality specialist for technical and test language; and a regulatory professional familiar with each target market for certificate, registration and market-access wording. Their names, credentials and review dates must be visible on the published page.

Recheck the shortlist, official URLs, product categories, legal entities, facilities and certificate statements at least every 12 months—and sooner when a company changes its site, product line, factory, ownership or regulatory status. Pricing must be re-quoted for every procurement; it remains UNVERIFIED here.

Medical disclaimer: This article is for general educational and procurement information only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment advice, or an individual wheelchair prescription. For health, seating, posture, pressure, transfer, cognition, vision or mobility needs, consult a licensed healthcare professional.

Once the procurement team has a controlled configuration and evidence request, it can discuss a scoped power-wheelchair RFQ with INTCO or send the same package to any other shortlisted supplier. The defensible decision is the supplier-model-factory combination that meets the documented requirement—not the company with the most impressive homepage.
